Ewalt (Colorado, M.D. 1933) was Bullard Professor of Psychiatry and associate dean of Harvard Medical School. He served as superintendent of the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, director of the Veterans Administration's Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences Service, and president of the American Psychiatric Association.
